Shrewsbury Mystery Plays have this year been able to produce a Good Friday Witness that we will be premiering to go out at 10.00 am on Friday 2nd April 2021. Previously we have produced a dramatised version of the events that take place on Good Friday. This included the traditional Walk of Witness which took place in the town centre over several years. We had hoped to be able to put on a full Passion Play around the streets of Shrewsbury again this year, but we have not been able to because of the current Covid 19 restrictions.

This year we have filmed the production in Shrewsbury Abbey with a “socially distanced” cast taken from several different Christian churches around Shrewsbury.
